AVS Evaluation Framework: A Structured Approach to Evaluate AVS’s for Node Operators
Re-staking extends Ethereum’s security to dApps. Node Operators need a framework to assess projects. This proposed framework helps identify those best aligned with their goals.
Slashed Validators Discrepancies in popular Block Explorers
While developing our consensus layer indexer, we found discrepancies in reported validator slashing amounts across two major block explorers. This revealed an edgy case where it might appear as if a validator was slashed twice.
A Study of the first 3 Months of Blobs in Ethereum
We embarked in the journey of analyzing the first 3 months after the Dencun fork in Ethereum. This is our entry to the Ethereum Foundation's EIP4844 Data Challenge.
Ethereum Hardware Resource Analysis Update
We examine the changes in Ethereum's hardware resource usage after the Deneb fork. We analyze the impact of blobs on network bandwidth, memory usage, and consensus client performance.
Inconsistencies in PolygonScan zkEVM Published Data
In this report, we are presenting the inconsistencies found when we deployed our Polygon's zkEVM synchronizer, analyzed the data, and compared it to Etherescan's analysis.
Validator Tagging with eth-pokhar: Monitoring Ethereum's Decentralization
We are thrilled to present the official release of eth-pokhar, a tool designed to help identify entities/pools controlling validators participating in the consensus layer of Ethereum.
Observing Deterministic Subnets in the Wild
The Beacon chain allows validators to propose and vote on blocks. Despite knowing their duties two epochs in advance, optimal message propagation in the network might not be always guaranteed.
Snappy Compression Benchmarks on Ethereum’s blocks
In the Ethereum p2p network, nodes send blocks, transactions, and other types of messages, which get serialized before being sent over the network. They can be compressed, reducing the bandwidth consumption, and speeding up network transfers.
DVT Performance Experiment
We are glad to release the report of our latest collaboration with the Obol team. We did a performance study on the Obol Distributed Validator Technology, running validators in different machines, cloud providers, and geographical locations.
Obol - MigaLabs: Prater Slashing Incident Report
On Tuesday May 30th, 2023, a slashing event happened in the Ethereum Prater network. Around 584 validators were slashed during 1008 epochs. These validators were part of an experiment carried out by the MigaLabs team for testing purposes.
